　この線刻礫は、縄文時代晩期に作られたもので、秋田県横手市山内にある虫内Ⅰ遺跡から出土しました。平らな軟らかい石を削り込んで浮き立たせた文様の中には、この時期に特徴的な三叉文を見ることができます。
　その用途としては、穴に紐を通して身につける装飾品、あるいは何らかの儀式や祭祀に関わるものの可能性が考えられます。

This line-engraved stone was created during the Late Jomon period and was excavated from the Mushinai I Site, located in San-nai, Yokote City, Akita Prefecture. Among the patterns carved into the flat, soft stone to make them stand out, a distinctive trident pattern characteristic of this period can be seen.

As for its use, it is considered to be a possible ornament worn by threading a string through a hole, or something related to some kind of ritual or ceremony.
